In the midst of a raging rebellion in a young African republic, engineer Fred, invited by his college friend Jimmy, is drawn into a dark power struggle. A helicopter escape ends with him crashing deep in the African jungle, where Fred suddenly finds himself completely alone. He lives a lonely life until he meets a group of mysterious women from a local tribe. At the head of the group is Umma, who claims to be his lawful wife and knows things that only his deceased wife could know. As Fred tries to discover the truth behind Umma and the women’s intentions, suspicions grow and the lines between truth and deception begin to blur. Then Jimmy unexpectedly appears with armed men, and the tide takes a dramatic turn. Has Jimmy come to Fred’s rescue - or is there a greater danger? In the African jungle, Fred must realize that the danger comes not only from outside, but also from within his own heart. A breathtaking thriller full of secrets, mistrust and compelling twists - with an ending that leaves the question open: who can Fred really trust?
