Kartoffel is a tortoise. He lives on the flower planet Fluwela. It's always a party there. But one day he drops down on the stony planet Korala. There he gets into a lot of trouble. Fortunately he is being helped.
And more important: he realizes that whatever happens, he can find peace, power, joy and safety within himself. And that he is strong enough to find answers in himself to all the problems he encounters.
The fairy tale can help children from 4 to 7 years in a fun and colourful way to meet the world with self-confidence and compassion.
"This is fun!" Rolfie calls. Rolfie is a winged pig. He just loves marshmallow-barbecue-parties. At the flower planet Fluwela they have lots of them. "Mmm mm," murmers Jaro-kan-Kanaro, the boy. He is resting from his last Super-hero action. "And delicious!" the flying seahorse Bibi says. Bibi is champion catching marshmallows. "I wonder what life is like there below," the turtle Kartoffel wonders again. "Look out there at the edge," Jojo, the girl warns.
Kartoffel turns around, slips … and falls down. All through the rainbow … and he drops on his head. It hurts a lot. "Ouch!" he calls. "Where am I?" Poor Kartoffel! He has memory loss. He remembers nothing. Probably from the blow on his head. He has no idea that he has landed on the planet Korala. "Typically Kartoffel!" says Jaro-kan-Kanaro. "Indeed! Kartoffel again!" answers Rolfie. "What are we to do?" asks Bibi. Jojo knows. "We will ask Shining Moon for advice."
Right away they travel to the planet Loana. The Wise Being Shining Moon explains: "Kartoffel has to find his own way now. Solve his own problems. But if his life becomes too difficult for him, you may help him a tiny little bit."
In the meantime … Kartoffel looks around. "Hey, a path uphill. I am positive my home is there on top!" he thinks happily. And in spite of his headache, he rises and sets off at once. ×
