Volume one of the The Protoscientific Journal of NLP contains the following articles: ABC and TOTE: how to reconcile behaviorism, cybernetics and enactivism This article explains how the ABC-model from Behavior Analysis can be understood in terms of the TOTE model of cybernetics. The TOTE model is also the core unit in which NLP describes human behavior. This article introduces radical enactivism as a way to reconcile behaviorisme and cybernetics. Lesser minds Behavior Analysis aims at deflating the concept of personality by looking only at external behavior. The Syntactic Theory of Mind also deflates the concepts of personality by removing content from the mind. Thus a lesser mind is conceptualized. This goes against non-radical enactivism where the mind in inflated to include the environment. NLP is also a way to deflate the concept of personality. Subjective Bayesian statistics and the measurement problem Subjective Bayesian statistics is the ideal solution to the measurement problem because it doesn't take people's answers to questions on face value. As it turns out subjective Bayesian statistics is the best statistical tool for philosophers, NLP practitioners and behavior analysts. The case for a pure feeling theory What are our emotions? In this article it is argued that our emotions are nothing but pure feelings. This matches well with the role of emotions in Behavior Analysis and NLP. Blame without a cause NLP does away with causation talk. The number one question people have about doing away with causation is what this means for morality and justice. Our justice systems seems to be all about determining who caused what. If there is no causation whatsoever, can we still have a justice system? This article shows that you can still blame people even without causation. The thirty year plan as a healthy alternative to Dilts' logical levels This is a pure NLP article. This article expounds concerns with Dilts' logical levels. This article also demonstrates how academic reasoning can further a deeper understanding of NLP. As Dilts' logical levels are very popular within the field of NLP, this is quite a controversial article.
