A Wife’s Nightmare: In a story of lies, betrayal and toxic love, the key is to trust again.
Nine years ago, on July 8, 2003, Regina Cueva gave birth to twins. She was quite happy, happy to be pregnant and happy to give her husband the kids he always wanted. They were a big happy family or so she thought. However, her little bubble burst six years ago when her kids were only two years old. It was the day she could and would never forget. She thought nothing could disintegrate her perfect life, but it all happened on March 14, 2006, when the DEA barged into their home sometime in the middle of the night. Gunshots were fired and she was awakened from her deep slumber quite rudely. She was sleeping next to her husband, Lorenzo Cueva, when they barged into their room. She remember seeing him reaching for his gun, but it was too late. It all happened so fast, one minute they were asleep and another, they were surrounded by armed cops. Her wide eyes locked at the scene before them with silent tears as they cuffed her husband’s wrists and said that he was under arrest for Drug Trafficking, Criminal Association and Bribery. She recalls staring at him, all confused and in shock, waiting for him to defend himself, waiting for all of this to be a lie but he didn’t, and it wasn’t.
The story ‘A Wife’s Nightmare’ (71,429-word) is a Fiction Romance that sets in the year 2001 where Regina Rodriguez, a Twenty-One-year-old Successful Businesswoman, meets a Twenty-Three-year-old Cartel Boss named Lorenzo Cueva and a Twenty-Five-year-old Cartel Boss Hank D’Pain in a Nightclub. While Lorenzo Cueva was good at hiding who he was, Hank D’Pain always flaunted his gangster side, and that scared Regina. She couldn’t be with a Druglord, which would ruin her reputation as a Businesswoman. Only for her to make the biggest mistake of her life, which was choosing Lorenzo Cueva.
