  This book is about a special architect and a great artist, Michel de Klerk (1884-1923). He continues to inspire artists and architects to this day. He was called the 'Rembrandt among architects' or the 'Master of Romantic architecture'. On November 24, 1923 - a hundred years ago - he died unexpectedly. Michel de Klerk has left behind an impressive oeuvre. People still come from all over the world to see his buildings. His buildings are true works of art. This book shows all facets of his work. He not only designed beautiful buildings, but also portrayed friends and designed furniture and clocks. On his travels he made many sketches that he incorporated into his architecture.
