Since 1990 Ton van Kollenburg has supervised more than one hundred Lean improvement teams and trained hundreds of people in continuous improvement at large and small organizations in industry, services, and care. He learned that Lean Management is about having the proper know-ledge only to a limited extent. Much more important are the right practical Lean skills. That has become the basis of this book. It distinguishes itself from other Lean books by its incredible attention to the practical application of Lean Management with many examples, almost eighty exercises, and over sixty useful tips. With this book, the reader can independently acquire the knowledge and skills of the Lean Green Belt of the 21st century. The use of this book in lessons and training courses on Lean Management allows paying more attention to practicing the principles and using the tools instead of transferring knowledge. The book is suitable for anyone who wants to become a Lean Green Belt and college students who wish to work with Lean Management during and after their studies.
