  The Love Me for Me book is a collection of five stories about children or families that break through the gender norm. These stories are geared towards preteens and are meant to give insight and representation. This book is the result of a project in which students of SIUE engaged the transgender community of the St. Louis metro region, with the assistance of a children's librarian. With the blessing of the transgender community these stories are the result. This book is accompanied by a discussion guide.
