  The core of this book is how Jacoba found the path back to the Light. After the HIV diagnosis, her life literally and figuratively came to a standstill; from the waist down, paralysed, needing a wheelchair. The signal could not have been clearer. How hard can you be shaken awake? Denial, powerlessness, fear and anger took possession of her like a sleeping volcano full of pentup feelings. This was the big turning point in her life. For the first time, she said YES and accepted her right to exist. From here, she wanted to journey inwards. The why-question popped up everywhere. The answers came to her from all sides in the form of new friendships and teachers, from shamans to spiritual leaders until she actually took back her autonomy. With that Jacoba made herself visible in this world and took her place in the Light.
